Dear Ikea,

Yesterday, I went to your store in Draper looking for things to help me organize my bathroom.
I came home with this:
It is not for my bathroom.
It is for tonight's dinner - chicken stir-fry, which turned out great, by the way.

I topped off the dinner with Martinelli's and an episode of Bones. It's been a delightful evening.

So, Thank you, Ikea. You never seem to have what I need, but you do have lots of thing that I want and then decide I must have. I'll be seeing you again soon.

I hate to admit it...

... but I actually kind of love this movie.

"Dear Baby, I hope someday somebody wants to hold you for 20 minutes straight and that's all they do. They don't pull away. They don't look at your face. They don't try to kiss you. All they do is wrap you up in their arms and hold on tight, without an ounce of selfishness in it. "

Ugh... Yes. It's official. I'm one of those girls.
Now leave me alone so I can continue to overly-identify with lady films.

I've been on a cooking kick lately.

My mom bought me a sewing machine for getting a big-kid job and my first project was to sew an apron. But then she bought me this treasure from Anthropologie:

So, goodbye sewing project. Tonight, I made a gluten-free chocolate cake. I can't remember the last time I made a cake... I had to buy cake pans and oven mitts in preparation. But, it was delicious! Thank you, Betty Crocker, for making gluten-free eating a bit more hopeful.

Note for next time: more frosting.

The bf and I ate the cake with vanilla bean Tillamook ice cream. It was perfect.

Next on the recipe list: Gluten-free banana chocolate chip bread
